Lent Groups

Living in Love and Faith | The Church of England

Lent Together 2021

In a time like no other, we need to approach Lent differently.  This year we will be able to learn together, pray together and be together online in small groups and in one large group.  While lockdown may cause us to feel more fragmented as a community, you are invited to join with the entire parish in one Zoom place on Wednesday evenings for five weeks.  Each time we meet we will be able to pray as one large community, but also to have discussions in smaller groups which will remain the same over the five week period. Having only one meeting time requires a measure of sacrifice from each of us, but being together as a parish in one place will draw us closer in community when we need it most.

Our topic is relationships and how our faith helps us to understand and love each other.  Through story videos of individuals, we will be invited to meet people in a variety of relationships including same sex relationships, transgender relationships and celibate relationships as well as relationships that we may feel are more familiar. Living in Love and Faith seeks to help us answer

How do questions about identity, sexuality, relationships and marriage fit within the bigger picture of the good news of Jesus Christ?

What does it mean to live in love and faith together as a Church?

We are running two Zoom groups to meet for 5 consecutive weeks; Tuesday afternoons and Wednesday evenings. Links to sign up below:
