Earth Day and Plant Sale at St Thomas', Saturday 9th May - POSTPONED

Planets, Plants and more! The world in a day is coming this way!..

The UK’s largest inflatable planetarium is landing in Farnham! St Thomas' will be removing its pews and welcoming a giant real life planetarium. Coinciding with the 50th Anniversary of World Earth Day, the day will provide a series of amazing activities, family fun and a chance to marvel at the wonders of our planet and beyond.

The day provides a series of 30 minute ‘Space Shows’ inside the planetarium with a specracular sea of stars and illuminating talks from its amazing astronomer (and owner), Peter Bassett. Click here for more information...

Back down to earth, the Farnham Beekeepers will be busy running craft activities and generally introducing all things bees. Also flying in for the day will be the RSPB with some amazing avian activities and WWF with all things animals and nature. The WWF panda has even promised to make an appearance too!

The ‘Eco Team’ from South Farnham Scool have been super busy already this year and you will have a chance to see their stunning ‘environmental display’ in the main entrance to St Thomas along with students’ posters and letters for the competition enries inspired by Price William’s announcement of ‘The Earth Shot Prize’.

For the green fingered folk, the day will be bursting with blossoms and blooms, a chance to buy your bedding plants and purchase your insect loving perennials. (Provided by Hazelbank Nursery)
