Burns Night

Burns Night, Friday 31st January, 7.00pm, at St Thomas'

The Bourne Parish present the now famous evening of fun and friendly fellowship. Scottish reels are danced in the nave accompanied by the Craigievar Scottish Dance Band. With a traditional meal of haggis – welcomed ceremoniously with the skirl of the bagpipes – neeps (swede) and tatties (mashed potato) + pudding.

There is a cash bar for all your drinks. Come as a group (tables of 8 or 10) or on your own. £25 per person.

Bishop Chris Herbert invites you to the launch of his new book, for all who love History and Farnham! Published by Farnham & District Museum Society, on sale at the launch price of £10, the 200 page hardback book explores how national struggles for power and influence deeply affected and shaped our town. There will be refreshments. All proceeds to the Museum Society. We look forward to seeing you.

 

Christian Aid Recitals, Tuesdays During Lent: 3rd March - 7th April, 12.00pm at St Thomas'

Enjoy this special series of six midday concerts, featuring some of our finest local talent. The artists are all generously donating their time, in the hope of making this a record-breaking fundraising event for Christian Aid.

A musical menu of lunchtime treats to suit every taste.

Phyllis Tuckwell Wellies & Walkies

Phyllis Tuckwell Wellies & Walkies is back!

Join us on the 15th of March as we start at the Rural Life Centre and walk through Bourne Woods with your four-legged friends, to raise vital funds to support local Hospice Care charity, Phyllis Tuckwell. Walk at your own pace, starting anytime between 10am and 11am. Tickets: £10 per pooch, including doggie bag. Humans walk for free!

We would love it if your pooches could raise £40 in sponsorship to support us in continuing to provide vital local hospice care in West Surrey and part of North East Hampshire.

 Farnham & Bourne Choral Society

Farnham & Bourne Choral Society Concert: Friday 21st March, 7.30pm at St Thomas'

Farnham and Bourne Choral Society is a mixed, all ages choir with a classical repertoire, based in Farnham, Surrey. The choir has over 100 members and performed its first concert in 1925 and continues to play a major part in Farnham’s varied musical culture. The French themed performance offers – Fauré Cantique de Jean Racine, Vierne Messe Solonnelle and Fauré’s Requiem.
