Messy Church is an ecumenical project run by The Bourne Parish and Farnham Methodist Church. As a partnership we take it in turns to host alternating Messy Church sessions, covering a large area of Farnham between us. Messy Church is church done in a really fun, messy and family friendly way. The ‘messy’ bit of Messy Church doesn’t just mean messy in the getting covered in paint sense of the word, it also acknowledges the ‘messy’ aspects of our lives, those times when we haven’t got it all together, when things are complicated or situations are tricky. Messy Church strives to accept everyone, wherever they’re at in life and welcome them in to know God – who loves us unconditionally.

Sessions are open to anyone and everyone - you’re never too young or too old for Messy Church! Adults and children take part in the activities together, helping one another and getting to each other.  Each month has a different theme which runs throughout the crafts and celebration and at the end of the session we all sit down and eat tea together.
